୯ ଲକ୍ଷରୁ ଉର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱ ଟଙ୍କା ହେରଫେର ଅଭିଯୋଗ। ପୂର୍ବତନ PEO ଓ ସରପଞ୍ଚ ଗିରଫ। ସରକାରୀ ଅର୍ଥ ହେରଫେର ଅଭିଯୋଗରେ ବାଲେଶ୍ୱର ସଦର ବ୍ଲକର ପଞ୍ଚୁପଡ଼ା ପଞ୍ଚାୟତର ପୂର୍ବତନ ପିଇଓ ସଞ୍ଜୟ ପଣ୍ଡିତ ଓ ପୂର୍ବତନ ସରପଞ୍ଚ ଗଣେଶ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ଦାସଙ୍କୁ ଗିରଫ କରିଛି ଭିଜିଲାନ୍ସ। ୨୦୨୧-୨୨ ଆର୍ଥିକ ବର୍ଷରେ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତର SFC ଓ CFC ପାଣ୍ଠିରୁ ପ୍ରାୟ ୯ ଲକ୍ଷ ୫୯ ହଜାର ଟଙ୍କା ଅନିୟମିତ ନେଇ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ସରକାରୀ ଅର୍ଥକୁ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ଆକାଉଣ୍ଟକୁ ଟ୍ରାନ୍ସଫର କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ବିନା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଅନୁମୋଦନରେ SFC ଓ CFC ପାଣ୍ଠିରୁ ଅର୍ଥ ଉଠାଯାଇଥିଲା। ପଞ୍ଚାୟତର ଲୋକାଲ ଅଡିଟ୍ ସମୟରେ ଆର୍ଥିକ ଅନିୟମିତତା ସାମ୍ନାକୁ ଆସିଥିଲା। ଘଟଣାର ତଦନ୍ତ କରି ଭିଜିଲାନ୍ସ ଉଭୟଙ୍କୁ ଗିରଫ କୋର୍ଟ ଚାଲଣ କରିଛି। ବାଲେଶ୍ୱର ପ୍ରଥମ ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଓ ଦୌରାଜଜ୍ କୋର୍ଟ ଉଭୟଙ୍କୁ ବିଚାର ବିଭାଗୀୟ ହାଜତକୁ ପଠାଇଛନ୍ତି।...

The Vigilance Department has arrested former Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) Sanjay Pandit and former Sarpanch Ganesh Chandra Das of Panchupada Panchayat under Baleswar Sadar Block over allegations of misappropriating government funds worth around ₹9.59 lakh. The alleged irregularities relate to the 2021-22 financial year, when funds from the State Finance Commission (SFC) and Central Finance Commission (CFC) were allegedly transferred to a personal account and withdrawn without the required approvals. The financial irregularities reportedly came to light during a local audit of the panchayat. Following an investigation, Vigilance arrested both accused and produced them in court. The Baleswar First Additional District and Sessions Judge Court subsequently sent them to judicial custody.
