Big Rural Development Push for Odisha: ₹5,000 Crore Target Under ‘G-RAM-G’ Scheme

ନୂଆଦିଲ୍ଲୀରେ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତିରାଜ ଓ ପାନୀୟଜଳ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ରବି ନାରାୟଣ ନାଏକଙ୍କ ନେତୃତ୍ୱରେ ଏକ ପ୍ରତିନିଧି ଦଳ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର କୃଷି ଓ ଗ୍ରାମୀଣ ଉନ୍ନୟନ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶିବରାଜ ସିଂ ଚୌହାନଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିଛି। ଏହି ପ୍ରତିନିଧି ଦଳ ସହ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ବିଜେପି ସାଂସଦ ମଧ୍ୟ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିଥିଲେ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ।ବୈଠକରେ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଆବାସ ଯୋଜନା-ଗ୍ରାମୀଣ ଏବଂ ଗ୍ରାମୀଣ ରୋଜଗାର ଓ ଭିତ୍ତିଭୂମି ନେଇ ଆଲୋଚନା ହୋଇଛି। ‘ଜି-ରାମ-ଜି’ ଯୋଜନା ଅଧୀନରେ ଚଳିତ ଆର୍ଥିକ ବର୍ଷରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଗ୍ରାମୀଣ ବିକାଶ, ଭିତ୍ତିଭୂମି ଓ ରୋଜଗାର ସୃଷ୍ଟି ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରାୟ ୫ ହଜାର କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କା ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚର ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ରହିଛି ବୋଲି ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି।

A delegation led by Odisha Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Ravi Narayan Naik met Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in New Delhi. Odisha BJP MPs also met the Union Minister during the discussions. The meeting focused on Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, rural employment and infrastructure development. The minister said around ₹5,000 crore is targeted to be spent in Odisha during the current financial year under the ‘G-RAM-G’ scheme for rural development, infrastructure and employment generation. Discussions also emphasised strengthening rural connectivity, employment opportunities and women’s economic empowerment through the fourth phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Lakhpati Didi and livelihood missions.
