Check Dam Breach in Sambalpur Triggers Flooding, Cropland Submerged

ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷାରେ ଭାଙ୍ଗିଲା ଚେକଡ୍ୟାମ । ସମ୍ବଲପୁର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ସୋଲଘରା ଠାରେ ଚେକଡ୍ୟାମ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଘାଈ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଛି । ଯାହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ହେକ୍ଟର ହେକ୍ଟର ଚାଷଜମି ବନ୍ୟା ଜଳ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବୁଡି ରହିଛି । କେତେକ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବାଲିଚର ମାଡି ଯାଇଛି । ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତିରାଜ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ରବିନାରାୟଣ ନାଏକ ସ୍ଥିତି ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରିଛନ୍ତି । ଚେକଡ୍ୟାମର ସମାଧାନ, ବନ୍ଧରେ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପାଚେରୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ ସହିତ କ୍ଷତିଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ଚାଷୀଙ୍କୁ କ୍ଷତିପୂରଣ ଦାବି କରିଛନ୍ତି ଲୋକେ।

A check dam has breached amid incessant rainfall at Solaghara in Sambalpur district, creating a major breach and raising concerns in the affected areas. Several hectares of farmland have been submerged by floodwater, while sand deposits have covered agricultural land at some places. Panchayati Raj Minister Rabinarayan Naik visited the affected area and reviewed the situation. Local residents have demanded repair of the damaged check dam, construction of a protective wall along the embankment and compensation for farmers whose crops have been affected.
