Bhubaneswar RTO-II reached Baramunda Bus Stand to review the situation as Cyclone Arnab’s landfall is expected at night. After discussions with the private bus owners’ association, officials directed that buses heading towards southern Odisha be stopped. More than 150 buses have been suspended as a precaution.

Buses that have already departed have been instructed to remain at safe locations during the cyclone’s impact. RTO-II has formed four teams and is providing regular updates. RTO-II Pranay Mishra stressed that passengers’ lives are valuable. Barada Prasanna Acharya, treasurer of the Private Bus Owners’ Association, also shared his views.

OTV correspondent Jyoti Prakash Pati reports from Baramunda Bus Stand.
