Decision on Odisha's New DGP Deferred; UPSC Panel Yet to Finalise Shortlist

ରାଜ୍ୟରେ କିଏ ହେବେ ନୂଆ ପୋଲିସ ଡିଜି, ସେ ନେଇ ହୋଇପାରିଲାନି ଚୂଡାନ୍ତ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି। ଆଜି ନୂଆଦିଲ୍ଲୀରେ UPSC ଚୟନ କମିଟି ବୈଠକରେ ୩ ଜଣଙ୍କ ନାଁକୁ ନେଇ କୌଣସି ସହମତି ହୋଇପାରିନି। ବୈଠକରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଶାସନ ସଚିବ ଅନୁ ଗର୍ଗ ଏବଂ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନର DGP ୱIଇ.ବି. ଖୁରାନିଆ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥଲେ। UPSC ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଅଜୟ କୁମାରଙ୍କ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତାରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ଚୟନ କମିଟି ବୈଠକରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ସରକାର UPSCକୁ ୧୧ ଜଣ ବରିଷ୍ଠ IPS ଅଧିକାରୀଙ୍କ ନାମ ପଠାଇଥିଲେ।
The appointment of Odisha's next Director General of Police (DGP) has been delayed, as the UPSC Selection Committee could not reach a final decision during its meeting in New Delhi. The committee was expected to shortlist three names for the state's top police post, but no consensus was reached.
