Engineer-Turned-Looter? Keonjhar Police Bust Transformer Theft Gang, 16 Arrested

ଇଞ୍ଜିନିୟରରୁ ଲୁଟେରା, ଧରାପଡ଼ିଲା ଟ୍ରାନ୍ସଫର୍ମର ଚୋରି ଗ୍ୟାଙ୍ଗ। ଟ୍ରାନ୍ସଫର୍ମର ଓ ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ ତାର ଚୋରି କରୁଥିବା ଏକ ବଡ଼ ଗ୍ୟାଙ୍ଗର ପର୍ଦ୍ଦାଫାସ କରିଛି କେନ୍ଦୁଝର ପୋଲିସ। ଗ୍ୟାଙ୍ଗର ୧୬ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ଗିରଫ କରାଯାଇଛି। ଏମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଦୁଇଜଣ ଇଲେକ୍ଟ୍ରିକାଲ ଇଞ୍ଜିନିୟର ଥିବା ଜଣାପଡ଼ିଛି। କେନ୍ଦୁଝର ରାମଚନ୍ଦ୍ରପୁର ଡ୍ରାଇଭିଂ ଟ୍ରେନିଂ ସେଣ୍ଟରରୁ ଟ୍ରାନ୍ସଫର୍ମର ଓ ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ ତାର ଚୋରି ଘଟଣାର ତଦନ୍ତ କରିବା ବେଳେ ଏହି ଗ୍ୟାଙ୍ଗର ଚେର ରାଜ୍ୟର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଜିଲ୍ଲାକୁ ଲମ୍ବିଥିବା ଜଣାପଡ଼ିଥିଲା।

Keonjhar Police have busted a major gang allegedly involved in stealing transformers and electrical wires, arresting 16 people, including two electrical engineers. The gang came under the scanner during an investigation into the theft of transformers and electrical wires from the Ramachandrapur Driving Training Centre in Keonjhar. Police found that the gang’s network extended to several districts across the state. Taking the matter seriously, police formed 12 special teams and conducted raids at 20 locations across five districts, including Keonjhar.
