Excise Team Attacked in Ganjam; Illicit Liquor Traders Rescued by Miscreants

ଅବକାରୀ ଟିମ୍ ଉପରକୁ ସଂଘବଦ୍ଧ ଆକ୍ରମଣ । ଚୋରା ମଦ ବ୍ୟବସାୟୀଙ୍କୁ କାବୁ କରି ଆଣୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ବାଟରୁ ଛଡ଼ାଇ ନେଲେ ଦୁର୍ବୃତ୍ତ। ଆକ୍ରମଣରେ ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ଅବକାରୀ କର୍ମଚାରୀ ଆହତ। ଗଞ୍ଜାମ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଖଲ୍ଲିକୋଟ ଥାନା ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ଭରଷା ଗାଁ ନିକଟରେ ଘଟିଛି ଏହି ଅଭାବନୀୟ ଘଟଣା।
An Excise team came under a coordinated attack near Bharasha village under Khallikote police limits in Ganjam district while bringing two accused illicit liquor traders to the police station.
The team had raided the area following information about illegal transportation of country liquor and arrested two persons. However, on their way back, a group of miscreants allegedly attacked the Excise personnel and forcibly freed the detained accused.
