Father Donates Son’s Eyes After Death, Hopes Someone Else Will See a New World

ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପରେ ପୁଅର ଆଖି ଦାନ କରିଦେଲେ ବାପା। ପୁଅର ଆଖିରେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣେ କିଭଳି ନୂଆ ଦୁନିଆ ଦେଖିବ ସେନେଇ ମୃତ ପୁଅର ଆଖି ଦାନ କରିଛନ୍ତି ବାପା। ଏଭଳି ଘଟଣା ଘଟିଛି ବାଲେଶ୍ବର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ନୀଳଗିରି ବ୍ଲକ ବାଉଁଶନାଳ ଗାଁରେ।

In a touching act of humanity, a father donated the eyes of his deceased son after his death, hoping that someone else could see a new world through his son’s eyes. The incident took place in Baunsanal village under Nilagiri block of Balasore district. Fifty-year-old Dilip Lenka died of a heart attack. Dilip had earlier expressed his wish to donate his eyes. After his death, the family informed the Eye Department of Nilagiri Hospital. When doctors arrived at the house to collect his eyes, his father Upendra donated his son’s eyes while holding back his grief.
