Former Berhampur Mayor’s Brother Arrested with Three Associates, Gun Seized

ବ୍ରହ୍ମପୁରର ପୂର୍ବତନ ମେୟର ଶିବ ଶଙ୍କର ଦାସଙ୍କ ଭାଇ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖର ଦାସ ଗିରଫ। ସକାଳୁ ଅଟକ ରଖିବା ପରେ ଗୋଷାଣୀନୂଆଗାଁ ଥାନା ପୋଲିସ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖରଙ୍କ ସହ ତାଙ୍କର ୩ ସହଯୋଗୀଙ୍କୁ ଗିରଫ କରିଛି। ଗୋଷାଣୀନୂଆଗାଁ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ରାସ୍ତାରେ ଥିବା ଏକ ଭଡ଼ା ଘରେ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖର ନିଜର ୫ ଜଣ ସହଯୋଗୀଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ ଅପରାଧିକ ଯୋଜନା କରୁଥିବା ଅଭିଯୋଗରେ ପୋଲିସ ଚଢାଉ କରିଥିଲା। ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖରଙ୍କ ଠାରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ବନ୍ଧୁକ ଜବତ ହୋଇଛି। ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖରଙ୍କ ସମେତ କୈଳାସ ମହାନ୍ତି, ସିପୁନ ସାହୁ ଓ ଦେବାଶିଷ ପାତ୍ରକୁ ପୋଲିସ ଗିରଫ କରିଛି। ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖରଙ୍କ ଜଣେ ସହଯୋଗୀ ଘଟଣାସ୍ଥଳରୁ ଫେରାର ହୋଇଯାଇଛନ୍ତି। ୪ ଜଣଙ୍କ ନାଁ ସଙ୍ଗଠିତ ଅପରାଧ ଓ ମାରଣାସ୍ତ୍ର ରଖିବା ନେଇ ଗୋଷାଣୀ ନୂଆଗାଁ ଥାନାରେ ମାମଲା ରୁଜୁ କରିଛି ପୋଲିସ । ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ଶେଖର ନିଜର ସହଯୋଗୀଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ କଣ ଅପରାଧିକ ଯୋଜନାରେ କରୁଥିଲେ ସେ ନେଇ ତଦନ୍ତ ଜାରି ରହିଛି।...

Former Berhampur Mayor Shiva Shankar Das’s brother, Chandrasekhar Das, has been arrested along with three associates by Gosaninua Gaon Police. Police had detained Chandrasekhar earlier in the morning before arresting him and Kailash Mahanti, Sipun Sahu and Debashish Patra. Police reportedly raided a rented house on the main road in Gosaninua Gaon following allegations that Chandrasekhar and five associates were planning a crime. One gun was seized from Chandrasekhar. One of his associates reportedly fled the spot. Police have registered a case against the four arrested persons over organised crime and possession of a weapon, while the investigation continues into the alleged criminal plan.
