Fresh Breach in Kani River During Repair Work; Flood Threat Looms in Jajpur

କାଣୀ ନଦୀରେ ପୁଣି ଘାଇ। ବନ୍ଧ ମରାମତି ବେଳେ ପୁଣି ହେଲା ଘାଇ,ଧୋଇଗଲା ବାଲି ବନ୍ଧ। ଯାଜପୁର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଦଶରଥପୁର ପାଟଣାଠାରେ ବୈତରଣୀ ଶାଖା କାଣୀ ନଦୀରେ ଦୁଇଟି ଘାଇ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଘାଇ ମରାମତି ଚାଲିଥିବା ବେଳେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଘାଇ ବୁଡି ପାଣି ଚାଲିଛି। ନିର୍ମାଣଧୀନ ଘାଇରେ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ବାଲି ବସ୍ତା କାଠ ସବୁ ଧୋଇ ଯାଇଛି। ଚାଷ ଜମିରେ ପଣି ପଶିଥିବା ବେଳେ ତରପଦା ଓ କସପା ପଞ୍ଚାୟତରେ ବନ୍ୟା ଆଶଙ୍କା ଦେଖା ଦେଇଛି।

A fresh breach has occurred in the Kani River embankment at Patana in Dasarathapur, Jajpur district, even as repair work was underway. Two breaches had earlier developed in the area, and one of them has now been submerged, allowing water to flow through. Sandbags, wooden materials and other items used in the ongoing repair work have reportedly been washed away.
