A fresh case has reportedly been registered against former MLA Bikram Panda following an allegation that a witness was threatened over the phone. According to the complaint, the alleged call was made using a doctor’s phone from inside the jail. An FIR has been registered at Gosani Nuagaon Police Station, while a fresh case has also reportedly been registered against Madan Dalei. Bikram Panda was recently granted conditional bail by the Orissa High Court in the Pitabas Panda murder case, with the court directing him not to harass, threaten or influence the victim’s family, informant or prosecution witnesses.
