ଆଇଏମଡି ଯାହା ପୂର୍ବାନୁମାନ କରିଥିଲା, ତାହା ହିଁ ହେଲା। ପବନ କମ୍ ବହିଲା, ହେଲେ ଅଧିକ ବର୍ଷିଲା। ତିନି ଦିନ ଧରି ବର୍ଷିଛି, ଆହୁରି ବର୍ଷା ଲାଗି ରହିଛି। ଗଭୀର ଅବପାତ ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ହୋଇଥିବା ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷାରେ ହାଲ୍ ବେହାଲ ପୁରା ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର। କେଉଁଠି ଭୂସ୍ଖଳନ ଯୋଗୁଁ ରାସ୍ତା ଅବରୋଧ ତ ଆଉ କେଉଁଠି ଉପୁଡ଼ି ପଡିଛି ବିରାଟକାୟ ଗଛ। ବିଜୁଳି ସେବା ବି ଠପ୍ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ରାୟଗଡା, କୋରାପୁଟ ଓ ମାଲକାନଗିରିର କିଛି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଭୁଶୁଡି ପଡିଛି କଚ୍ଚା ଘର। ଏବେ ବି ବର୍ଷା ଲାଗି ରହିଥିବାରୁ ସମସ୍ୟା ଆହୁରି ବଢିବା ଆଶଙ୍କା କରାଯାଉଛି।

The IMD’s forecast has come true as the deep depression has brought more rain than strong winds across South Odisha. Rain has continued for the past three days and is still lashing several areas. The incessant rainfall has severely affected normal life across the region, with landslides blocking roads and huge trees being uprooted in several places. Power services have also been disrupted. In parts of Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri, several kutcha houses have collapsed. With rain continuing, there are concerns that the situation may worsen further.
