India has presented five peacocks to the United Nations Office in Geneva as a unique diplomatic gesture, with four being blue peacocks and one a rare white peacock. The unusual gift is being described as India’s ‘Peacock Diplomacy’. India’s Ambassador to Geneva, Arindam Bagchi, formally handed over the peacocks to the Director-General of the UN Geneva office. The gesture highlights India’s distinctive cultural symbolism and diplomatic outreach at the international forum.
