The sea has breached the coast near Shiali and Ramtara in Jagatsinghpur district. At Ramtara Meera Sea Beach, sandbags broke and created a nearly 100-foot-wide gap, allowing saline seawater to enter nearby rivers and agricultural land. A similar breach was reported at the same spot last year. With the sea remaining rough for three days, concern has grown among local residents over possible crop damage.
