Low-Pressure Area Likely to Form Over Bay of Bengal on September 19, Rainfall to Increase by Sept 23

ଆସନ୍ତା ୧୯ ତାରିଖରେ ପୂର୍ବ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରୀୟ ବଙ୍ଗୋପସାଗର ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ଉତ୍ତର ଆଣ୍ଡାମାନ ସାଗରରେ ଏକ ଲଘୁଚାପ କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହେବାର ସମ୍ଭାବନା ରହିଛି। ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ତାହା ପଶ୍ଚିମ, ଉତ୍ତର ପଶ୍ଚିମ ଦିଗରେ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହୋଇ ଉତ୍ତର ଆନ୍ଧ୍ରପ୍ରଦେଶ ଓ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଆଡ଼କୁ ମୁହାଁଇବାର ସମ୍ଭାବନା ରହିଛି। ଏହା ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ୨୩ ତାରିଖ ବେଳକୁ ବର୍ଷାର ପରିମାଣ ବଢ଼ିବ । ଏପରି କହିଛନ୍ତି ଆଇଏମଡି ଡିଜି ମୃତ୍ୟୁଞ୍ଜୟ ମହାପାତ୍ର ।
A low-pressure area is likely to form over the north Andaman Sea, adjoining the east-central Bay of Bengal, on September 19, according to IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra.
The system is expected to gradually move west-northwestwards towards North Andhra Pradesh and southern Odisha. Under its influence, rainfall activity is likely to increase across Odisha by around September 23.
