Floodwater is rising in the Mahanadi and its tributary rivers, according to information from the Engineer-in-Chief of Odisha’s Water Resources Department.
Floodwater has been released from the Hirakud reservoir and is expected to reach Mundali today. Authorities have indicated that Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara districts could be affected as the water moves downstream.
