The alleged sale of Mahaprasad (Abadha) along with non-vegetarian food at a hotel in Puri has drawn strong condemnation from local residents. According to the source, leftover Mahaprasad was allegedly cooked again at the hotel the following day and sold with non-vegetarian food instead of being distributed to the needy. The incident has caused distress among devotees, local residents and Shrimandir servitors, who have expressed concern over the alleged disrespect to the sacred offering of Lord Jagannath. Recent reports also say the matter is under police investigation.
