“My husband may no longer be in this world, but he will live on.” The wife of Angul organ donor Ritesh Pradhan has turned her grief into a powerful message of humanity by supporting organ donation after her husband’s death. She said that if someone receives a new lease of life through her husband’s organs, there can be no greater thing than that. “I cannot get back what I have lost, but I will remain proud of my husband,” she said, expressing her pain as well as her pride. Despite the sorrow of losing her husband, the family’s decision to donate his organs has conveyed a message of compassion, humanity and noble giving to society.
