ନେପାଳରେ ପ୍ରକୃତିର ତାଣ୍ଡବ ଛାଡ଼ିଯାଇଛି ଅସରନ୍ତି ଦୁଃଖ ଓ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣାର କାହାଣୀ । ବନ୍ୟାର ପ୍ରଳୟରେ କିଏ ନିଜ ପରିବାରକୁ ହରାଇଛି, ତ କିଏ ଏବେ ବି ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରିଛି ନିଖୋଜ ଆତ୍ମୀୟଙ୍କ ଫେରିବା ବାଟକୁ । ହେଲେ ଦିନ ଗଡ଼ିବା ସହ ଆଶା ମଉଳିବାରେ ଲାଗିଛି । ଅନେକ ପରିବାରକୁ ନିଜ ପ୍ରିୟଜନଙ୍କ ମୃତଦେହ ମଧ୍ୟ ମିଳିପାରିନି। ଆଉ ଏହାରି ମଧ୍ୟରେ କାଠମାଣ୍ଡୁ ପଶୁପତିନାଥ ମନ୍ଦିରର ଆର୍ଯ୍ୟଘାଟରେ ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ରୀତିନୀତିରେ ପ୍ରତିକାତ୍ମକ ଭାବେ ହେଉଛି ଶେଷକୃତ୍ୟ ସମ୍ପନ୍ନ। ନିଜ ଆତ୍ମିୟଙ୍କୁୁ ଖୋଜି ଖୋଜି ପରିବାରର ଆଖିରୁ ଲୁହ ଶୁଖୁନି, ଶେଷରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଏକ ପ୍ରତିକୃତିକୁ ଦାହ କରି ମନକୁ ବୁଝାଇବାକୁ ପଡ଼ୁଛି ।

Amid this deep grief, symbolic last rites are being performed at the Arya Ghat of Kathmandu’s Pashupatinath Temple following traditional rituals. Families who spent days searching for their missing relatives are now being forced to perform the final rites using symbolic representations, hoping to find some closure despite the pain and uncertainty. The devastating floods have left behind stories of loss, helplessness and endless waiting across Nepal.
