Another low-pressure system is likely to develop over the Bay of Bengal around October 23, raising the possibility of renewed rainfall activity. According to the weather forecast cited in the report, a cyclonic circulation is currently active over the Gulf of Thailand and adjoining areas of Thailand and Myanmar. It is likely to move into the North Andaman Sea by this morning before intensifying into a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal around October 23.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not forecast whether the system will intensify further. However, some weather models and meteorologists suggest that it could develop into a depression, while certain models indicate the possibility of cyclonic storm formation.

The possibility of another cyclone in October has therefore triggered fresh speculation. However, the IMD has not issued any forecast or advance warning of a potential cyclone at this stage.
