With the system intensifying into a deep depression and heading towards Andhra Pradesh with possible later impact on Odisha, the state government has stepped up preparedness with an emphasis on zero casualty. Chief Minister reviewed the arrangements, while the Revenue Minister confirmed readiness in Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada and Malkangiri. Five senior IAS officers and several ministers, including both Deputy Chief Ministers, have been assigned district-wise responsibilities for monitoring and coordination. NDRF and ODRAF teams are in place, adequate food and cattle feed stocked, snakebite medicines and health services kept ready, and police directed to maintain law and order. Districts have been instructed to provide regular media updates every 24 hours.
