After a spell of intense heat, Odisha is set to witness a change in weather from today. Under the influence of a trough line, rain is likely in northern and interior Odisha between October 7 and 9.
The weather department has forecast heavy rain with thunderstorms in nine districts over the next 48 hours — Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur and Cuttack. Gusty winds of 30–40 kmph are also likely, prompting a Yellow Warning.
