More than 30 cows were stranded on an island after floodwaters in the Brahmani River cut off their escape route. The incident occurred near Kaluria Bridge, close to Joranda in Gandia Block of Dhenkanal district.
Personnel from the Fire Services Department reached the spot and carried out a rescue operation to bring the stranded cattle to safety.
