ଦୁର୍ଗାପୂଜା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ଭିତରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହେଲାଣି ବର୍ଷା। କେଉଁଠି ନିଧୂର୍ମ କାଚିଛି ତ ଆଉ କେଉଁଠି ଝିପିଝିପି ବର୍ଷିଛି। ଆଗାମୀ ୪ ଦିନ ପାଇଁ ବିଜୁଳି ଘଡ଼ଘଡ଼ି ସହ ବର୍ଷା ନେଇ ଚେତାବନୀ ଜାରି କରିଛି ଆଞ୍ଚଳିକ ପାଣିପାଗ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର । ଦକ୍ଷିଣପଶ୍ଚିମ ମୌସୁମୀ ବାୟୁ ଅପସାରଣ ପରେ ଆଗମନ ହେବ ଉତ୍ତରପୂର୍ବ ମୌସୁମୀ । ଏଥିପାଇଁ ପାଗ ଅନୁକୂଳ ରହିଛି। ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ଆସନ୍ତା ୪ ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ବିଜୁଳି ଘଡ଼ଘଡ଼ି ସହ ବର୍ଷା ହୋଇପାରେ। ଆଜି ବାଲେଶ୍ବର, ଭଦ୍ରକ, ଯାଜପୁର, କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡ଼ା, ଜଗତସିଂହପୁର, କଟକ, ଅନୁଗୋଳ, ଢେଙ୍କାନାଳ, କେନ୍ଦୁଝର, ମୟୂରଭଞ୍ଜ, ରାୟଗଡ଼ା, କୋରାପୁଟ, ମାଲକାନଗିରି, ଗଜପତି, ଗଞ୍ଜାମ, ପୁରୀ, ଖୋରଧା ଓ ନୟାଗଡ଼ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଗୋଟିଏ ଦୁଇଟି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବିଜୁଳି ଘଡ଼ଘଡ଼ି ସହ ବର୍ଷା ଏବଂ ୩୦ରୁ ୪୦ କିମି ବେଗରେ ପବନ ହୋଇପାରେ। ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ୩ ଦିନ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଉପକୂଳରେ ବର୍ଷା ପବନ ହେବ ବୋଲି ଆଞ୍ଚଳିକ ପାଣିପାଗ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ପୂର୍ବାନୁମାନ କରିଛି।

Rainfall has begun in several parts of Odisha amid preparations for Durga Puja, with some areas experiencing heavy showers and others witnessing light rain. The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a warning for rain accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms over the next four days. Conditions are favourable for the arrival of the northeast monsoon after the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon. Today, isolated places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagarh may receive rain and thunderstorms, with wind speeds of 30–40 kmph. The weather office has also forecast rain and winds along the southern Odisha coast over the following three days.
