Rain may dampen the Durga Puja celebrations in Odisha, with showers beginning on Maha Shashthi. Several parts of the state witnessed rainfall, while Bhubaneswar experienced heavy rain in the afternoon. The downpour could affect the decoration of puja pandals and disrupt plans of devotees to visit pandals and seek Maa Durga’s darshan. With preparations for the Goddess’s arrival underway, all eyes are on how the rainfall from Shashthi onwards will affect the festive atmosphere in the coming days.
