Sharadiya Puja Begins at Maa Biraja Shrine, Banajaga Yatra Held on Shubha Sunia
ଦେବୀ ବିରଜା ଙ୍କ ପୀଠରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି ଶାରଦୀୟ ପୂଜା ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ । ଶୁଭ ସୁନିଆ ରେ ଦେବୀ ଙ୍କ ବନଜାଗ ଯାତ୍ରା ପର୍ବ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଛି । ବିରଜା କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ରେ ମା ଙ୍କ ଦୁର୍ଗୋତ୍ସବ ଲାଗି ସିଂହଧ୍ୱଜ ରଥର ନିର୍ମାଣ ଲାଗି ମନ୍ଦିର ରେ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ପୂଜାର୍ଚ୍ଚନା କରାଯାଇ ମା ଙ୍କ ଚଳନ୍ତି ପ୍ରତିମା କୁ ନେଇ ବିଲ୍ୱ ବରୁଣ ଗଛ ପୂଜା କରାଯାଉଛି ।

The Sharadiya Puja festivities have begun at the shrine of Devi Biraja, with the traditional Banajaga Yatra held on the occasion of Shubha Sunia. Special rituals were performed at the temple for the construction of the Singhadhwaja chariot for Maa Biraja’s Durgotsav. The movable idol of the Goddess was taken for the worship of the Bilwa Baruna tree. As per tradition, after the Bel tree was worshipped, a branch was brought to the temple and chariot construction began for the nine-day Rath Yatra. Ritual worship had earlier been performed at a selected tree in Narapada village.
