A deeply distressing picture of poverty has emerged from Garudagaon Gram Panchayat under Tangi-Choudwar Block in Cuttack district, where around 70-year-old Sudam Behera is reportedly living in a government-provided toilet due to the absence of a proper house. His son Pratap lives nearby with his wife and six children in a tarpaulin-covered makeshift structure.
