Hit-and-run incidents in Bhubaneswar are raising serious concerns, with accidents reportedly occurring frequently and several victims battling for their lives. Barely two days after a previous incident, another SUV hit a pedestrian in Nayapalli, triggering fresh concerns over reckless driving.
Questions are being raised over how to curb dangerous driving and prevent suspected drunk drivers from putting innocent lives at risk.
The Odisha DGP has said that vehicle checks are being intensified. Driving licences may also be cancelled as part of strict action against traffic violators.
