ଆଇଏମଡି ଯାହା ପୂର୍ବାନୁମାନ କରିଥିଲା, ତାହା ହିଁ ହେଲା। ପବନ କମ୍ ବହିଲା, ହେଲେ ଅଧିକ ବର୍ଷିଲା। ତିନି ଦିନ ଧରି ବର୍ଷିଛି, ଆହୁରି ବର୍ଷା ଲାଗି ରହିଛି। ଗଭୀର ଅବପାତ ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ହୋଇଥିବା ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷାରେ ହାଲ୍ ବେହାଲ ପୁରା ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର। କେଉଁଠି ଭୂସ୍ଖଳନ ଯୋଗୁଁ ରାସ୍ତା ଅବରୋଧ ତ ଆଉ କେଉଁଠି ଉପୁଡ଼ି ପଡିଛି ବିରାଟକାୟ ଗଛ। ବିଜୁଳି ସେବା ବି ଠପ୍ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ବଡ଼ ବର୍ଷା ଆଣିଛି ବଡ଼ ବିପତ୍ତି। ପାହାଡରୁ ଧୋଇ ନେଇଛି ବିରାଟ ଗାର୍ଡ ୱାଲ୍। ଚିତ୍ର କନ୍ଧମାଳ କଳିଙ୍ଗା ଘାଟିର। ଯାହା ଆଶଙ୍କା କରାଯାଉଥିଲା ତାହା ହୋଇଛି।
The IMD’s forecast has turned out to be accurate, with the deep depression bringing more rain than strong winds. Rain has continued for the past three days and is still lashing several parts of South Odisha. The incessant rainfall triggered by the deep depression has severely affected the region, with landslides blocking roads, huge trees being uprooted and power services disrupted. In parts of Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri, several kutcha houses have also collapsed. With rain continuing, there are concerns that the situation may worsen further.
