ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ ଇଲାକାରେ ରାଜ୍ କରୁଛି ଡ୍ରାଗନ ଫ୍ରୁଟ୍ । ଫୁଲ ଆସିଛି, ଫଳ ବି ଧରିଛି । ଦିନେ ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ ଚାଷ ପାଇଁ ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚାରେ ଥିବା ସ୍ୱାଭିମାନ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଏବେ ଡ୍ରାଗନ ଫ୍ରୁଟ୍ ଚାଷର ନୂଆ ପରିଚୟ ପାଲଟିଛି । ମାଲକାନଗିରି ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଚିତ୍ରକୋଣ୍ଡା ବ୍ଲକ୍ ଲାଉଗୁଡ଼ା ଓ ଜନ୍ତାପାଇ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି ଡ୍ରାଗନ ଫ୍ରୁଟ୍ ଚାଷ ।
Once known for cannabis cultivation, Swabhiman Anchal in Malkangiri district is now witnessing a new agricultural shift, with farmers taking up dragon fruit cultivation. The initiative has begun in Lauguda and Jantapai areas of Chitrakonda block, where the plants have reportedly started flowering and bearing fruit. Malkangiri ITDA is supporting farmers with seeds, fertiliser, irrigation pipes, cement supports and fencing materials.
