Supreme Court Forms 5-Member Panel to Probe Police Action at Jantar Mantar

ଜନ୍ତରମନ୍ତର ଛାତ୍ର ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନକୁ ନେଇ କମିଟି ଗଠନ କଲେ ସୁପ୍ରିମକୋର୍ଟ । ପୋଲିସର ମାତ୍ରାଧିକ ଆକ୍ସନ ଅଭିଯୋଗର ଯାଞ୍ଚ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ୫ ଜଣିଆ ଉଚ୍ଚ-କ୍ଷମତା ସମ୍ପନ୍ନ ବିଶେଷଜ୍ଞ କମିଟି ଗଠନ କରିଛନ୍ତି ସର୍ବୋଚ୍ଚ ଅଦାଲତ। CJI ଜଷ୍ଟିସ୍ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟକାନ୍ତ, ଜଷ୍ଟିସ ଜୟମାଲ୍ୟ ବାଗଚି ଏବଂ ଜଷ୍ଟିସ ଭି. ମୋହନାଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ ଗଠିତ ଖଣ୍ଡପୀଠ ଏହି ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି। ସୁପ୍ରିମକୋର୍ଟର ପୂର୍ବତନ ବିଚାରପତି ଜଷ୍ଟିସ୍ ଆର୍ . ସୁଭାସ ରେଡ୍ଡୀଙ୍କ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତାରେ କମିଟି ଗଠନ ହୋଇଛି ।

The Supreme Court has constituted a five-member High-Powered Enquiry Committee to examine allegations of excessive and disproportionate police action during student protests at Jantar Mantar and other locations. The panel will be headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice R. Subhash Reddy. The bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V. Mohana passed the direction. The committee will examine allegations concerning police action against protesters as well as allegations of violence against security personnel during the demonstrations.
