ଉତ୍ତରାଖଣ୍ଡର ଚମୋଲିରେ ବଡ଼ ଅଘଟଣ। ପିପଲକୋଟି ସ୍ଥିତ THDC ଜଳବିଦ୍ୟୁତ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପର ନିର୍ମାଣାଧୀନ ଟନେଲର ଏକ ଅଂଶ ହଠାତ୍ ଧସିପଡ଼ିଛି। ଟନେଲ୍ ଭିତରକୁ ମାଟି ଓ ପାଣି ପଶିଯିବାରୁ ସେଠାରେ କାମ କରୁଥିବା ଅନେକ ଶ୍ରମିକ ଫସିଥିବା ଆଶଙ୍କା କରାଯାଉଛି। ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣା ସମୟରେ ଟନେଲ୍ ଭିତରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୨୦ରୁ ୨୫ ଜଣ ଶ୍ରମିକ ଥିଲେ। ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ୧୦ ଜଣ ଶ୍ରମିକଙ୍କୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ଭାବେ ବାହାରକୁ ଅଣାଯାଇଛି। ଫସିଥିବା ଅନ୍ୟ ଶ୍ରମିକଙ୍କୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର ପାଇଁ ଜୋରଦାର ଅଭିଯାନ ଜାରି ରହିଛି।

A major accident has been reported from Chamoli in Uttarakhand after a section of an under-construction tunnel at the THDC Hydropower Project in Pipalkoti suddenly collapsed. Soil and water entered the tunnel, raising concerns that several workers may be trapped inside.
