Two Crops, One Field: Farmers Happy With Paddy and Fish Farming in Nabarangpur

ନବରଙ୍ଗପୁର ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ପ୍ରଥମ ଥର ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି ଗୋଟିଏ ଜମିରେ ଧାନ ଏବଂ ମାଛ ଚାଷ। ଚାଷୀଙ୍କ ଆୟକୁ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରିବାକୁ କରାଯାଇଛି ଏହି ପ୍ରୟାସ। ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ପରୀକ୍ଷା ମୂଳକ । ଭାବେ ରାଇଘର, ଉମରକୋଟ ଏବଂ ଚନ୍ଦାହାଣ୍ଡି ବ୍ଲକରେ ଜମି ଚିହ୍ନଟ କରି ଚାଷୀଙ୍କୁ ଏଥିରେ ସାମିଲ କରାଯାଇଛି। ଚନ୍ଦାହାଣ୍ଡି ବ୍ଲକ ଧୋଡ଼ିପାଣି ପଞ୍ଚାୟତର ଧଣ୍ଡାମୁଣ୍ଡା ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ତିନି ଜଣ ଚାଷୀଙ୍କ ଜମିରେ ମାଛ ଓ ଧାନ ଚାଷ କରାଯାଇଛି।

For the first time in Nabarangpur district, paddy and fish farming have been started together in the same field as an experimental initiative to increase farmers’ income. Land has been identified in Raighar, Umerkote and Chandahandi blocks, with farmers brought into the initiative. Paddy and fish farming is being carried out on the land of three farmers in Dhandamunda area under Dhodipani Gram Panchayat of Chandahandi block.
