Eleven tigers reportedly died at Nandankanan in 2000 due to flies, according to Professor Indramani Nath, former coordinator of the Wildlife Health Centre and Surgery Department. Recalling the incident, Professor Nath said, “After the Super Cyclone, 11 tigers died at Nandankanan in 2000 because of flies.” His statement highlights a past incident involving the deaths of 11 tigers at Nandankanan following the Super Cyclone.
