Ganesh Puja will be celebrated across Bhubaneswar, Talcher and Cuttack, with preparations reaching the final stage. Bhubaneswar has been decorated with colourful lights, flower garlands and towering torans, with special attractions including an India Gate-shaped toran at Nuapalli, a 51-foot Swarnadri Ganesh idol in Old Bhubaneswar and a Jagannath-inspired Chakra Eye-themed toran in Satyanagar. In Talcher, Ganesh Puja will be held at more than 100 mandaps from September 14, followed by the immersion procession on September 26, along with social and cultural programmes. Cuttack is also witnessing elaborate preparations at over 50 clubs, featuring towering structures inspired by Ganesh Palace, Ayodhya Ram Mandir, Akshardham and Disney World. From streets and lanes to major puja mandaps, the city is gearing up to welcome Gajanan, with devotees echoing “Ganapati Bappa Morya.”
