ପ୍ରଥମରୁ ଅଷ୍ଟମ ଶ୍ରେଣୀ ନୂତନ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ରହିଛି ୧୭୪୧ ତ୍ରୁଟି । ବିଧାନସଭାରେ ଉତ୍ତର ରଖିଲେ ଗଣ ଶିକ୍ଷା ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନିତ୍ୟାନନ୍ଦ ଗଣ୍ଡ । ତ୍ରୁଟିଶୂନ୍ୟ ପାଠ୍ୟପୁସ୍ତକ ଯୋଗାଣ ଜାରି ରହିଛି। ୧୭୫ କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କା ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ହୋଇଛି। ବହି ତ୍ରୁଟି ପାଇଁ ୧୦ ଜଣଙ୍କ ବିରୋଧରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ହୋଇଛି। ଏବଂ ୬ ସହ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକଙ୍କ ବିରୋଧରେ ଶୃଙ୍ଖଳାଗତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ନିଆଯାଇଛି। ଜଣେ ପୂର୍ବତନ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକଙ୍କ ସମେତ ୩ ସହ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ନିଲମ୍ୱିତ ହୋଇଥିବା କହିଛନ୍ତି ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ। ବିଧାୟକ ଗୌତମ ବୁଦ୍ଧଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନରେ ଉତ୍ତର ରଖିଛନ୍ତି ଗଣଶିକ୍ଷା ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ।

As many as 1,741 errors have been found in new textbooks for Classes 1 to 8, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond informed the Odisha Assembly. The government has spent ₹175 crore, while action has been taken against 10 people over the textbook errors, including disciplinary action against six co-directors and suspension of three co-directors, including a former director. The minister also informed the House that the school dropout rate declined from 15% in 2024-25 to 14.1% in 2025-26, with Koraput, Balangir, Kalahandi and Rayagada reporting high numbers of dropouts.
