18-Year-Old Youth Drowns at Sweta Ganga in Puri While Bathing With Friends

ପୁରୀ ବାଲିସାହିସ୍ଥ ଶ୍ବେତଗଙ୍ଗା ତୀର୍ଥ ପୁଷ୍କରିଣୀରେ ବୁଡ଼ି ଯୁବକ ମୃତ। ମୃତ ଯୁବକ ଜଣଙ୍କ ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ସତ୍ୟଭମାପୁରର ୧୮ ବର୍ଷୀୟ ସମ୍ବିତ୍ ପ୍ରଧାନ। ମୃତ ସମ୍ବିତଙ୍କ ସହ ୩/୪ ଜଣ ସାଙ୍ଗ ଶ୍ରୀମନ୍ଦିର ଆସି ମହାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦର୍ଶନ ପାଇଁ ଆସିଥିଲେ। ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରଥମେ ସମୁଦ୍ରରେ ସ୍ନାନ କରିବା ପରେ ଶ୍ବେତଗଙ୍ଗାରେ ସ୍ନାନ କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ମୃତ ସମ୍ବିତଙ୍କ ଗୋଡ଼ ଖସିଯିବାରୁ ସେ ଭିତରକୁ ଚାଲିଯାଇଥିଲେ।
An 18-year-old youth died after drowning in the Sweta Ganga Tirtha Pushkarini at Balisahi in Puri. The deceased has been identified as Sambit Pradhan of Satyabhamapur in Khordha district. Sambit had reportedly visited Puri along with three to four friends to have darshan of Mahaprabhu at the Shree Mandir. The group first bathed in the sea and later went to Sweta Ganga to bathe. During the bath, Sambit reportedly lost his footing and slipped into the water, following which he drowned. The tragic incident has left his friends and family in shock
