6-Elephant Herd Creates Panic in Angul, Forest Squad Member Chased

ଅନୁଗୋଳ ଛେଣ୍ଡିପଦା ରେଞ୍ଜ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ବରସାହି ପଞ୍ଚାୟତରେ ହାତୀ ଉପଦ୍ରବ ଚିନ୍ତା ବଢାଇଛି। ଆଜି ଏକ ୬ ଟିକିଆ ହାତୀପଲ ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କ ବାରିକୁ ପଶିଥିଲେ। ହାତୀଙ୍କ ପଶିବା ନେଇ ବନବିଭାଗକୁ ଖବର ଦେଇଥିଲେ ପରିବାର ଲୋକେ। ଖବର ପାଇ ବନବିଭାଗ କର୍ମଚାରୀ ଘଟଣାସ୍ଥଳରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି ହାତୀପଲକୁ ଘଉଡ଼ାଉଥିବା ବେଳେ ଗୋଟିଏ ହାତୀ ସ୍କ୍ବାଡ୍ ସଦସ୍ୟ ସଞ୍ଜୟ ସାମଲଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇଥିଲା।

A herd of six elephants created panic in Barasahi Panchayat under the Chhendipada Range of Angul district. The elephants entered a resident’s backyard, following which the family alerted the Forest Department. Forest officials reached the spot and began driving the herd away. During the operation, one elephant reportedly chased forest squad member Sanjay Samal, raising concern among locals and forest personnel.
