After dedicating 32 years of his life to serving the nation, CRPF jawan Nakul Malik retired and returned to his native place. He received a grand welcome from local residents after arriving at Jajpur Road Railway Station. A large motorcycle procession was organised from the railway station, taking him through the town. Later, villagers welcomed and felicitated him in his native village with flower bouquets and traditional uttariya. Nakul Malik had joined the Indian Army in 1994 and carried out his responsibilities with discipline and patriotism throughout his long service.
