With nominations for the student union elections scheduled for tomorrow, political tensions have intensified. In a press conference today, the BJD alleged that vice-chancellors and principals were being directed to reject nomination papers of Biju Chhatra Janata Dal candidates. The party also alleged that large amounts of money are being spent on campuses in violation of rules and that the recommendations of the Lyngdoh Commission are being ignored.
