The BJD protest outside the Jajpur SP office has been withdrawn after the SP assured that the alleged attackers in the Pranab Balabantray vehicle attack would be arrested within 48 hours, BJD leader Pramila Mallik said. BJD leaders had staged the protest demanding immediate action after stones were allegedly pelted at Pranab’s vehicles in Panturi village of Dharmasala. Pranab alleged that 40–50 armed persons attacked them and claimed BJP workers were behind the incident, while the BJP denied the allegation.
