Tension erupted inside Kendrapara District Hospital after BJP and BJD workers confronted each other over the treatment of Dipankar Rout, a presidential candidate from Patamundai U.K. Mahavir College. Leaders from both parties claimed that Rout belonged to their respective party, triggering a heated argument inside the hospital.

The dispute over his candidature led to a verbal altercation between BJP leader Lalit Behera and BJD district president Shibaprasad Bhal. The confrontation created tension inside the hospital premises.
