The flood situation is worsening along the Brahmani River as water levels rise following increased rainfall upstream. At Alava in Kendrapara district, the Brahmani has crossed the danger level. The danger level is stated to be 4.88 metres, while the river is flowing at 7.72 metres. Low-lying areas have been inundated, adding to the difficulties faced by residents.
