ଛତିଶଗଡ଼ରେ ବର୍ଷାର ତାଣ୍ଡବ। ୪୮ ଘଣ୍ଟା ଧରି ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ଯୋଗୁଁ ଉଛୁଳୁଛି ନଦୀ ନାଳ। ବଢୁଛି ଜଳସ୍ତର, ତାସହ ବନ୍ୟା ସ୍ଥିତି ଗମ୍ଭୀର ହେବାରେ ଲାଗିଛି। ଧମତରୀର ଗଙ୍ଗ୍ରେଲ ଡ୍ୟାମର ସବୁ ୧୪ଟି ଗେଟ୍ ଖୋଲାଯାଇଛି। ଏବେ ଡ୍ୟାମକୁ ଛଡ଼ାଯାଉଛି ପ୍ରାୟ ଅଢ଼େଇ ଲକ୍ଷ କ୍ୟୁସେକ୍ ପାଣି। ଆଉ ଏହାର ସିଧା ପ୍ରଭାବ ପଡ଼ିପାରେ ମହାନଦୀ ଉପରେ। ଛତିଶଗଡ଼ ପରେ ଏବେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ବଢୁଛି ବନ୍ୟା ଭୟ। ଡ୍ୟାମରୁ ପ୍ରାୟ ଅଢ଼େଇ ଲକ୍ଷ କ୍ୟୁସେକ୍ ପାଣି ଛଡ଼ାଯାଉଥିବାରୁ ତଳମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ବଢ଼ିଛି ଜଳପ୍ରବାହ। ଗଙ୍ଗ୍ରେଲ ଡ୍ୟାମ ପାଣି ଛାଡ଼ିବା ପରେ ତଳମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ସ୍ଥିତି ଅତି ଭୟଙ୍କର।
Heavy rain has battered Chhattisgarh for the past 48 hours, causing rivers and streams to swell and worsening the flood situation. All 14 gates of the Gangrel Dam in Dhamtari have been opened, with around 2.5 lakh cusecs of water being released. The discharge is increasing the downstream flow and could have a direct impact on the Mahanadi, raising concerns over a worsening flood situation in Odisha as well.
