Congress Agitation Is a Show, Says BJP MLA Amid MMDR Row

Amid the ongoing political dispute over the MMDR Amendment Act in the Odisha Assembly, a BJP MLA has alleged that the Congress agitation is merely a “show” and claimed that the party has no faith in the democratic system. The MLA said that while the BJD had walked out of the Assembly over the MMDR issue, Congress did not participate in a discussion despite submitting an adjournment notice. He alleged that Congress was staging a symbolic agitation instead of taking part in a discussion. The comments come amid continued protests by the Opposition over the MMDR legislation in the Odisha Assembly.
