The Odisha Government has prepared micro-level plans to tackle the approaching cyclone, with rainfall expected across all 30 districts. Heavy rainfall is likely in some areas, and Odisha may experience the cyclone's impact even if it makes landfall in Andhra Pradesh. Malkangiri is expected to be among the worst-affected districts.

Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari said 24/7 control rooms have been established at both district and state levels. Ministers and senior officials have reached the field to take necessary action according to local requirements.

The government is also focusing on managing water levels in the Mahanadi, as rainfall in Chhattisgarh could cause the river to swell. Coordination with Chhattisgarh is continuing to help prevent a possible flood situation.
