A well-marked low-pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal, according to the weather department. The system may develop into a cyclone and reach the Andhra Pradesh coast by the morning of October 28. Regional Meteorological Centre Director Manorama Mohanty has indicated that rainfall is likely to begin in Odisha from the night of October 27. People are advised to follow official weather updates as the system develops.
