Cyclone Gaining Strength Over Sea, Wind Speed May Increase Further

Description:
The developing cyclone over the Bay of Bengal is gaining strength over the sea and is expected to intensify further before moving towards the coast. Weather scientist Sarat Sahu has reacted to the developing weather system. According to the source, wind speed over the sea is currently around 80–90 kmph and could increase further as the system approaches the land.

The India Meteorological Department has forecast that the system could intensify into a cyclonic storm by October 26 and move towards the North Andhra Pradesh and adjoining South Odisha coast around October 28.

The exact intensity and landfall details are still being monitored. Further strengthening is possible as the system moves closer to the coast.
