Cyclone Murasu Intensifies Into Severe Cyclonic Storm, Landfall Likely Near Ongole

ବଙ୍ଗୋପସାଗରରେ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ହେଉଛି ବାତ୍ୟା ‘ମୁରାସୁ’। ଗତକାଲି ସାଇକ୍ଲୋନର ରୂପ ନେଇଥିବା ମୁରାସୁ ଆଜି ସକାଳେ ଭୀଷଣ ବାତ୍ୟାରେ ପରିଣତ ହୋଇଛି। ଘଣ୍ଟାପ୍ରତି ୨୦ କିଲୋମିଟର ବେଗରେ ଉତ୍ତର-ପଶ୍ଚିମ ଦିଗକୁ ଗତି କରୁଛି। ପାଣିପାଗ ଆକଳନ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ, ଆଜି ମଧ୍ୟରାତ୍ରିରୁ ୩ ତାରିଖ ଭୋର ୪ଟା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଆନ୍ଧ୍ର ଉପକୂଳରେ ଲ୍ୟାଣ୍ଡଫଲ୍ କରିପାରେ ମୁରାସୁ।
Cyclone Murasu over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm after developing into a cyclone yesterday. Moving northwestwards at 20 kmph, it is currently 260 km from Chennai, 290 km from Nellore and 320 km from Machilipatnam. According to weather forecasts, Murasu is likely to make landfall along the south Andhra Pradesh coast between midnight today and 4 AM on November 3, possibly near Ongole between Nellore and Narasapur.
