Saurabh Chandrakar, promoter of the Mahadev Online Book betting app and a key accused in the case, has been brought back to India from Oman following his extradition. A special CBI team travelled to Muscat to bring him back. Chandrakar is facing two cases registered by the CBI and one case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He is scheduled to be produced before the CBI Special Court in Raipur on Monday. According to the CBI investigation, the Mahadev Online Book allegedly operated as one of India's largest illegal online betting syndicates from outside the country, using an extensive network of franchise panels and branches to facilitate betting on cricket, football, card games and other events.
